Instructions
Step 1: Put all the ingredients in a food processor, starting with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Begin with only a small pinch of salt: smoked salmon is salty, and crackers can add more saltiness.

Step 2: Blend on high until fairly smooth, about 10 seconds, scraping down the sides as needed.
Step 3: Adjust the lemon and salt to taste, then blend briefly again.
Step 4: Transfer the dip to a bowl. Garnish with lemon slices and more dill, if desired. Serve at room temperature with crackers.

Tip: Melba toasts and mini crostinis are serving options.
Notes
Greek yogurt can replace the sour cream and mayonnaise for a slightly lighter version.
Keep the dip for as long as the smoked salmon’s package says it can be consumed after opening. After 2 or more days, add a little lemon if it needs freshening. Refrigeration firms the dip; bring it to room temperature and stir before serving.
