Ingredients
For 12 tablespoons
Peri peri sauce version
Dry spice version
Equipment
- Bowl
Instructions
Step 1: For either version, mix the ingredients in a bowl. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before using, if you can, to let the flavors meld.
Step 2: Serve with burgers and wraps, use as a dip for fries, crunchy tenders, or popcorn chicken, or drizzle over salads, rice bowls, and poke bowls.
Step 3: Refrigerate the peri peri sauce version for up to 5 days and the dry spice version for at least a week. Do not freeze.
Notes
Whole egg mayonnaise makes a creamier, less vinegary sauce. For a lighter version, replace one-third of the mayonnaise with sour cream or yogurt; the sauce will be a little looser.
About this recipe
Peri-naise is a creamy, tangy mayonnaise sauce. Make it with peri peri sauce for a fresher taste, or use dried spices for a pantry-friendly version.

Serve it with burgers and wraps, use it as a dip for fries and wedges, or drizzle it over rice bowls and salads.
