All Dressings Except Caesar

  1. Step 1: Mix the ingredients in a bowl. Set aside for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to develop.

  2. Step 2: Use milk to adjust to the desired consistency.

  1. Step 3: Blitz the ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Use milk to adjust the consistency.

Notes

For thick, plain yogurt, Greek-style yogurt is recommended. Plain yogurt also works; if using low-fat yogurt, reduce the vinegar in the dressings because low-fat yogurt is more sour.

The dressings keep for 3 days in the refrigerator. Take them out 30 minutes before serving.

For Caesar dressing, anchovies provide a savory flavor. If you prefer not to use them, use 1 teaspoon fish sauce; if you are allergic to fish, use 1 teaspoon light or all-purpose soy sauce.

About this recipe

Choose from five creamy yogurt dressings: lemon, ranch, potato salad, honey mustard, and Caesar. Each dressing has its own ingredient list; the shared method applies to all except Caesar.

Use the lemon and ranch dressings with leafy greens and other salads, the potato dressing for potato salad, the honey mustard dressing with leafy greens or chicken salad, and the Caesar dressing for Caesar salad.
