Garlic pizza topping
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 250°C / 480°F (230°C fan) and allow it to get thoroughly hot.
Step 2: Mix the olive oil and garlic in a small bowl. Set aside for 10 minutes to infuse.

Step 3: Make and roll out your chosen pizza base, then stretch it onto a pizza pan.
Tip: A pan with holes can help make a crisp base.
Step 4: Spread the oil and all the garlic over the base, leaving a border around the crust. Sprinkle with salt, then Parmesan and mozzarella. If using a no-yeast base, spray or brush the exposed crust with olive oil.

Step 5: Bake for 8 minutes, turning the pan after 4 minutes, or until golden spots appear on the cheese. Cut and serve.
Notes
Choose a classic yeast base, a no-yeast base, or a store-bought base. If using store-bought dough, choose an uncooked or par-cooked base so it does not burn before the cheese melts.
Freshly grated cheese melts and spreads better than pre-shredded cheese. If measuring the cheese by volume, grate it first, then pack it into the cup.
For a classic yeast base, allow several hours for the dough to rise; a no-yeast base does not need to rise.
About this recipe
