Instructions
Step 1: Place all the ingredients in a jar and shake until combined. Alternatively, whisk them together in a small bowl or jug.
Step 2: Keep the dressing in the fridge for 3 days.
Step 3: Drizzle over leafy greens and toss gently to coat.

Notes
Ingredient swaps
Use champagne, sherry, apple cider or red wine vinegar in place of white wine vinegar. Avoid regular white vinegar, which is too sharp for this dressing.
Use canola, vegetable, sunflower or another plain-flavoured oil in place of grapeseed oil. A neutral oil keeps the olive oil from overpowering the other flavours.
Use parsley or dried herbs in place of chives. If using dried herbs, reduce the amount to 1/2 teaspoon.
About this recipe
This creamy French dressing combines the tang of a vinaigrette with mayonnaise and fresh chives. Shake it together in a jar, then toss it with leafy greens or drizzle it over steamed vegetables.

It also works with pasta or potato salad, or as a dipping sauce.
